TopReq API Client (“TopReq”) is a browser extension for testing HTTP, GraphQL, WebSocket, and SSE APIs.

Data we store on your device

TopReq stores the following locally in your browser profile (IndexedDB / local storage):

• Collections, folders, and requests
• Environment variables (which may include API keys or tokens you enter)
• Request history and related response data you generate while using the extension

This data stays on your device. TopReq does not sync it to a TopReq cloud service and does not sell it.

Data sent over the network

When you send a request, TopReq transmits that request (URL, headers, body, auth you configured) to the destination you specify, so you can test that API. WebSockets connect directly to the host you enter. TopReq does not operate a proxy service that receives your API traffic for our own use.

What we do not collect

We do not collect personal information for accounts, advertising, or analytics as part of the extension’s core product. We do not sell user data.

Permissions

• Host access: to perform user-initiated API requests to arbitrary http(s) URLs
• Tabs: to open/focus the TopReq workspace tab
• Storage (local): to keep your collections and settings on this device
